No, this isn't an ethnic post (as much as I miss Joe's female journalist friend).
While I have enjoyed the banter of this year's site, I do miss the in depth and spirited debate about the 'fest itself and our excursion this year. To wit, I propose the following......
All posts after this week MUST be specifically targeted at Oktoberfest and our trip this year. Where to go, how to go, when to go, what to do, when to do it, who to do it with, who not to do it with, proposed schedules, what to eat, how many Donners to eat, when to visit Shakespeare's, train schedules ... you get my drift.
So, let's hear from this year's minions, should we narrow our posting topics?

Not wanting to bind the discussion, free speech and all, then we need to leave it open to free discussion. However, if we see evidence of various lobbying groups paying people to post about their beer halls, tourist sites, etc, we may need to clamp down on it.

Ok Chugger seriously you need to think about this. There are 7 of us, and there are 5 weeks left, IF you don't count the week that we all arrive. That's 35 original thoughts and plans, about a place that you all started visiting in 1993. I seriously could post pictures once a week of each pair of shoes etc I'm bringing, and in which beer tent I would like to wear them. But I think that would be silly. You all need to tone down the control knob a little. We will go and drink beer and eat hendl and have a great time, even if we don't remember it all.
