While I'm not one to pick on a mother who has lost a son, and lord knows stirring up more left vs. right wing rhetoric is the last thing we need, I thought I would offer some thoughts that might bring some added excitement to our blog. Who knows, it might even get us on a list that brings more visitors.
Mostly rhetorical questions to follow, but opine if you like...
Why does everyone say Bush lied about WMD? Ok, we now know that he (and everyone else by the way) was wrong about WMD. Just because you are wrong doesn't mean you lied. Even Teddy "Give me another Drink" Kennedy and John "Reporting for Duty" Kerry acknowledged there were WMDs.
What does Cindy Sheehan really expect to accomplish by meeting with Bush? She's set in her mind and he in his; one will not change the other. He met with her once, and she was thankful then. While I certainly do not believe the President is "holier than thou", I think he probably has more pressing things to do than to meet with everyone who demands to see him. Ok, this is different, but where do you draw the line?
When does Michael Moore's (yuck, I didn't think I would ever type that) Camp Casey movie debut?
I'm certainly tired of all the do gooders complaining about Bush "stealing their sons and sending them off to die". Last time I looked, this was still a volunteer military.
While I believe Cindy Sheehan started her vigil with the best of intentions, she has now gotten caufght up in the left-wing, kool-aid drinking, Kerry got more votes than any other candidate in history B.S.
And finally, August is typically a slow news month, as evidenced by even the lack of Natalie Holloway news. Maybe in five days the focus of all this blather will change. Who knows, I'm almost longing to hear about Michael Jackson again.

What're you doing? Throwing hand grenades into an orphanage? These subjects inflame and therefor require liquid extinguishers to be on-hand.
But, I'll return your serve.
Inflame?
Just trying to have intelligent and honest discourse. If some liquid extinguishers are required.... then Prost ! !
Bush is an idiot.
Bush is a liar.
She has a right to protest the war.
Bush had an agenda, and pushed the war on the world.
He lied.
Read the statements of Powell's chief of staff, who basically said that Powell was given an unsubstantiated script to sell to the UN on WMD.
The truth:
Bush was wrong on WMD. Bush was wrong on Iraq being a Terrorist breeding ground (it is now, but not under Saddam), Bush was wrong about Saddam aiding Al Queda (Al Queda hated Saddam).
The ONLY thing I have every seen Bush interrupt his vacations for is to come back to Washington on his mis-guided mission to prolong Terry Shiavo's suffering. I have never seen him interrupt his vacation to address the deficit, or the economy, or national security... Where are his priorities?
Case Closed.
I thought Bush was going to fire anyone implicated in the CIA-Agent leak.
Oooops... he meant convicted.
Come on Chugger, surely you see the guy is a dim witted flake....
Ah, some common thread with BarleyMan...
"his mis-guided mission to prolong Terry Shiavo's suffering."
Here's the text of how the case was made. Since Bush (and all Republicans) diminish anyone with a Kollege degree or any minute amount of analytical skill, you could make the case that Bush & team didn't realize that there wasn't substantiated evidence to make the point...

Powell's speech, delivered on February 5, 2003, made the case for the war by presenting U.S. intelligence that purported to prove that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Wilkerson says the information in Powell's presentation initially came from a document he described as "sort of a Chinese menu" that was provided by the White House.
"(Powell) came through the door ... and he had in his hands a sheaf of papers, and he said, 'This is what I've got to present at the United Nations according to the White House, and you need to look at it,'" Wilkerson says in the program. "It was anything but an intelligence document. It was, as some people characterized it later, sort of a Chinese menu from which you could pick and choose."
He Guys, I may have missed something, but it was about 2 years ago I gave my opinion to Einfahrt and Chugger. Barleyman you have my strongest support.
Barleyman,
Wow! Excellent satiric display of the far left "rationale." You captured perfectly the irrational thought that all this started under Bush II. You even captured the essence of the bile with the "misled, lied, died" creation of the far left. You almost had me convinced that you didn't know that each and everyone of these points were in place far before Bush II decided to run, even before he (acording to Krugman) 'stole' the election(s).
Great piece! I bow before your sartorical skills!!
Are you coaching the Sheehan publicist?
Barbus,
I understand that we should wait for approval of the EU and the Belgium contingent. I'm sure they will bring the matter before committee soon. I think it is scheduled just after the Van Gogh appeals. After the committee has met it will result in a resolution that can be voted upon by the voting, representative government of the EU and they will decide whether or not to rebuke Afghanistan for harboring terrorist camps. Soon after they will take up Iranian nuclear concerns. The Iragi's will still be safely contained (through force of U.S. arms for 10 years before this began.) We'll get to the bottom of it sooner or later and censure those who wish to impose sharia law. It will impress them and they will cease the impositions of embassy bombings (4: Beirut, Kenya, Nigeria, Saudi), night club bombings (3: Germany, Bali, Israel), attacks on naval vessels (1: Adan), oh. and a pair of towers in NYC. over 15 years. We'll get to it. soon.
