Back, but what a mess !

We have been three weeks off-line and see what happened;

  • Bavaria's buxom barmaids could be forced to cover up
  • Chuggers starts a Trivia but is still in the closet
  • Einfahrt abuses the Pope
  • Barleyman and Paulaner Girl addicting to the Orthodox Church
  • Grumpy still doesn't know what train tickets to buy
  • The Thirsty Dog has been sold

What did we miss ?

Welcome back Barbus, and Schlumberger Lady!

We've been partying in your absence, but have mostly cleaned up the empty bottles and emptied the trash.

31 lobsters got flights from Boston to our fair city. They were accompanied by 10 lbs of clams.

They enjoyed variable weather. It was breezy and briefly rained in the morning while the event organizers golfed. A party tent had been arranged, so the organizers were not overly concerned. By late afternoon, the skies cleared, the humidity climbed; and it got a bit hot.

Guest placed their chairs within the slowly increasing shade of the house until Chugger chased them under the tent. The shade of the house remained popular as the refreshments were there.

Our shelled guests (clams, lobs, and shrimp) took the hot baths and were enjoyed by the increasingly inebriated guests.

Clean up in the morning did not involve any articles of clothing or involvement with the constabulatory, so I guess it was all clean fun.

Thank you Einfahrt for the wonderful and clear review of yesterday's festivities. I must admit, I was feeling a bit complacent about the event the past few weeks, and even contemplated cancelling. It is just not the same without BarleyMan around. Plus, everything always goes as planned now and there are no surprises.

However.....

I just experienced what I believe to be a LobsterFest First ! ! ! A duely paid attendee, who did not make it to the actual fest last evening, actually just showed up at my house wondering where everyone was. Yep, my glorious boss Gordon was, as they say... "a day late and a dollar short". Well, maybe not a dollar short, but certainly a day late.

Is this an original or what!?!?!

It seems that since BarleyMan left Dayton, these Lobsterfests have gotten tamer...

1. No topless wenches in the hot tub
2. No blatant nudity
3. No testifying later at the courthouse
4. No career limiting dancing going on.
5. Stories of wanton drinking of hard liquor
6. Rumours of illicit sex.

What's going on guys? Was I THAT bad of an influence...

Let's hear the stories... Puleeze?

Thanks for the warm welcome home greetings; Although I believe the lobster party was great fun (even more in the old days)we would not like to have missed our Italy trip. From the north lakes, mediterenian see, chianti, rome, abruzzen, adriatic see, marche, umbrio and alte adigi, we drove by cabriolet. Lodging at wonderfull hotels and restaurants. Life is good to us. Just a pity we only had three weeks and that we have to wait 38 days for the next event.
