Here's the countdown to the start of Oktoberfest 2024...
In 2010, the 200th anniversary of the Oktoberfest was celebrated. During the anniversary celebrations in the southern part of the Theresienwiese was held for the first time Historic Oktoberfest. The Oktoberfest festival area was separated from the population so well that citizens and politicians called for a repeat. In Munich's city council was then decided to Historical Oktoberfest in 2011 to repeat in stripped down version. It will contain elements of historical and Oktoberfest will be repeated every year (except in the years in which there is the Central Agricultural Festival will take place Oide Wiesn not well - that is, 2012, 2016 and so every 4 years)
