Advice on Lederhosen

Should one buy their Lederhosen at arrival at Munich or E-bay a pair for the trip? I would like to be dressed for the occasion as soon as my boots hit the ground but I can see the nostalgia of having one from Munich. Plus the cost is also a concern, any suggestions?

If one were determined to buy Lederhosen, I would recommend buying before you travel.

Why? Because then you will not be spending time in Munchen shopping various stores and can spend more time drinking.

Only Barbus from Amsterdam has ever worn Lederhosen in our group. Not that we have not wanted to, or threatened, we just couldn't justify the big bucks.

The reason I wear a lederhosen is not only for fashion. They are prety practical. The material protects against wet (beer or what ever), the pockets are plenty and most important; you can open the front in a spacious way. After a number of Mass this is pretty comfortable when to visit the pissoir.

I bought mine in Munich. Lot of choice (quality and price). But I guess $200,00 is still a minimum price for a reasonable quality.
So shopping on the web for sure is an alternative
