Paris bids a relieved au revoir

Parisians can breath a sigh of relief and begin the rebuilding process. The female Finlay contingent is now in Galway, Ireland. According to the lastest text, (at 2 am) they were in a crowded bar, meeting Irish boys and apparently a snog has occurred. The youngest Finlay seems to be much happier, to the relief of her older sister. This is the good news. The bad news? The overweight baggage fees on Ryan air were $500............sigh.

Yes... on top of the shopping.

That's Ryan Air's business model.

As one extra kilo cost 15,00 euro they must have with them an extra 30 kilo's. Your girls know what shopping is :)

Even worse, we had already paid to ship back one of Mandy's bags :>). They each had in the vicinity of 50 pounds, which is of course ok on a real airline. Believe it or not, it worked out to be a little less than the fares I found with Aer Lingus. There luggage fees are a little more lenient, but the actual flight costs were in the vicinity of 300 pp. Too bad they can't swim! Might have been cheaper to use the luggage tranfer peole to ship their luggage to Ireland. Mandy's bag actually arrived yesterday!
