 From the official Oktoberfest Web Site:

... "For the first time, hosts will have online portals where unused reservations can be exchanged or sold at the original price. An important step to push back the gray market, where thousands of euros were often asked for a table. 20 medium-sized and large gastronomic businesses have already opted for the Oktoberfest-Booking.com portal as a solution."

Schedules have been finalized.

Most airline reservations have been made.

Hotel discussions are in full swing.

Daily itinerary options being prioritized.

This year's visit almost finalized...

Looks like we have the makings of a plan for Chugger, Designated Walker, Barley Man, Flying Dan and his daughter. 

Chugger and Designated Walker will start with a week in Spain, then meet up with the other vagabonds in Paris for some culture (dare we say museums?), history (Beaches of Normandy) and over indulgence (Palace of Versailles). After 3-4 days we will head to München. This will be a shorter than normal visit, maybe just 3-4 days, with some extra day trips (Rothenburg ob der Tauber).

Proposed timeframe:

16 September - 24 September (Spain)
24 September - 27 September (Paris)
27 September - ????? (anytime 30 September - 2 October)
