- It does. We started this blog way back in 2005 before Facebook was what it is today, and we used it first to organize what has become known as the Uber Trip.
- This blog is single focused. We talk about Oktoberfest and bier. Ok, that's two things, but they are one and the same.
- We don't share your personal information. We might joke about it, but we won't share it.
- You are not bombarded with SPAM or advertising. (well, ok, there might be a posting about SPAM the meat somewhere)
- It is easier to use than Facebook.
- We control who accesses and uses this blog. Only people interested in Oktoberfest are welcome and we do not hesitate to 'thin the herd'.
- Most of us are old and don't like to change our ways to the newfangled stuff.

Thin the Herd? The Herd might be thinned by natural selection. You do realize that blogging is so hard for millennials because they are too stupid to learn anything that does not have an easy button. I know I am safe calling them stupid because this takes effort to post. Kinda nice to disparage a whole dumb age group. Ha ha
